Adam Chou
Sculptures in stone and wood
Flemington New Jersey

Adam Chou is a multi-media artist sculpturing in stone and wood mostly, and also working, mainly, in abstract painting. His Chinese background has instilled in him a sense of balance in lines and shapes, and the western culture has influenced his sense of colors.

My sculpture has been mostly wood and stone, but occasionally wanders into other medias , such as glass, wool, bronze, plaster, blacksmithing, welding, etc. where my whim leads me. I am an admirer of Jackson Pollock and many years ago I tried to do drip painting with some success. Recently, I experimented again with some pleasing resuls. To add texture, I use tempera, glass, mesh, plaster, plastics, even lint from drier as suggested by my daughter-in-law.
